Clematis and Lilium Boxed Plants Sams Club Video
You know we are having fun this season with Oliver helping out in the gardens. He loves to hang out in the greenhouse or dome while we get ready for the growing season outside to kick in. Recently, I found these neat perennials in a box at Sams Club locally. I know you will be as surprised as I was when you see this video.
you can find my videos on Bren Haas Channel on YouTube. Let me know by connecting on this website if you can’t see the video.
Hightlights of the Clematis and Lilium Boxed Plants Sams Club Share
I know I broke my number one rule to open the box when you get home immediately. Did I mention we had tree project pick up today at the Wood County Water and Soil District?! BUSY BEEs this season… exciting new plants being shared as we head into May and June. You will have to stop back to see where I plant the Clematis and Lilium Boxed Plants to see the blooms. I am very excited about the condition all these perennial plants were in. The bulbs looks young but healthy and the vine bare root was ready to go in the ground.
NOTE: Do not let our pet chew on any part of the clematis or lilium – just because its not DOG FOOD!
When Purchasing Bare Root and Bulbs
Here are a few points to remember when purchasing bare root and bulbs like the Clematis and Lilium:
- Get them out of the box and planted in soil as soon as possible
- Be sure the bulbs are healthy and bare roots are not dried out ( see video)
- Tag the plants so you don’t forget what you are growing!
- Check to see if the plant is frost hardy – plant outside accordingly.
- Don’t let the plants dry out – keep in cool, dark location until you can plant
- Keep your receipt! Most stores like Sams Club will let you return the product with no question if you have your receipt.
