How to Plant Rosemary in Container Video

The rosemary herb just maybe one of my all time favorite herbs to grow.  It is fairly easy to enjoy year-round even in Ohio hardiness zone 5b.  Do you know your hardiness zone?  In the video feature today I share the planting in a container but the same tips can be used in ground.  I recommend planting rosemary in containers so you can control the soil easily and move it around easily.  Check out the video below:

Rosemary Planting Tips

Spring TIme to Replant

The rosemary herb really is one of the easiest to grow year-round.  Be sure to follow a few of these basic tips that help me grow successfully.

  • Use a loose potting soil that includes perlite, vermiculite and a good fertilizer.
  • Make sure your container has drainage holes or use a cloth container.
  • Plant the rosemary in full sun and do not let the container dry out
  • Feed the plant with organic 20-20-20 fertilizer during the summer every other week.
