Perhaps one of the top fruits you should have in your diet daily packed with antioxidants. In this blog post, I share my Kick Start The Day Blueberry Smoothie Recipe your whole family will love.

Wild blueberries are rich in antioxidants.  One serving of wild blueberries totals more antioxidant capacity than one serving of cranberries, strawberries, plums, or others. This delicious and refreshing smoothie recipe has been my favorite all winter long.  I’ve been using frozen berries and some greens that I’ve been able to harvest from my greenhouse during the last few months.

  1. I never thought to add spinach to my morning smoothie, thanks for the inspiration! I could use that extra iron right now 🙂

  2. Good Morning Bren! Thanks for stopping by my blog the other day. I have been ‘walking’ around your site this morning enjoying all the pictures. Thanks for a good read. I miss my garden. The last one I had was in South Africa. Now I live in San Diego in a place with no outdoor area except a cement patio. So my garden is in three small planters! Regarding the smoothies; my wife and I regularly buy fresh strawberries for smoothies in the morning. It is a delightful breakfast we discovered in South Africa where great strawberries can be had all year long.

    1. Honored to have you stop by my site and comment. I’m a fan of your blog and look forward to your new entries popping up on my WordPress Reader followers each week! Love hearing about your adventures in South Africa – what a wonderful adventure. I jealous they can harvest strawberries all year round and I hope you share maybe a recipe or photo of those growing gems!
