Growing Fresh Herbs Indoors Under Lights
This video is an update from my blog post and video titled Setting up and Growing in A Lechuza Self-Watering Container. The container has been producing herb indoors since early December. I was pretty excited to share this update with you.
.
The Lechuza can be found on Amazon and other fine container shops. I want to note that most any self-watering container set up properly will work indoors. The game-changer was placing the container next to my Aerogarden.
The herbs featured in this video and post are from the grocery store. If you go to the produce section of Walmart and Meijer in my area you will find edible herbs. The herb plants usually cost under $3. This is a great way to get started with your indoor edible garden.

I’ve also got an Aerogarden set up in my kitchen. This is product can be found in this video as well. It has been two weeks since I started the Aerogarden up and I am just getting a few little baby seedlings. I hope to publish my video on this product as soon as more of the seeds start to produce. Stay tuned for updates by following my Blog and subscribing to my Newsletter.
FUN FACT About Oregano
Oregano little leaves have four times the antioxidants of blueberries,12 times the antioxidants of oranges, and 42 times the apples’ antioxidants! Check out this post on how herbs can spice up your antioxidant protection.

Hi Brenn, such a nice presentation, nice to see your post again. I have to learn to navigate the rest of your page you always have such interesting things.
Next time stick those basil cuttings on the windowsill they will root anywhere on a stem and grow right in a jar. You can have fresh anytime. I like your self watering garden too.

Thank you so much for stopping by Peg! I will try and put better navigation on my site. I try to have my pull-down menu on the front with the main topics or themes. You can find the pull-down menus at the top right.
The basil I ate in my salad tonight for dinner! I have some rosemary in the dome I am going to take some cuttings off of and put in that container I shared on today’s video. I have had great success starting the rosemary and the sage from cuttings.
Thank you so much for commenting! It gets lonely over on my site sometimes – Happy Gardening,
