Easy Dessert Fruit Pizza Recipe

The mix of soft, buttery sugar cookie and fresh summer fruit is the perfect addition to any July 4th celebration.  In this post I share an easy to create dessert pizza recipe using a few home grown fruits.  Check out the recipe and image featuring the one my friend put together below!

Easy Dessert Fruit Pizza Recipe

One of my first dessert fruit pizza experiences was at a Pampered Chef party years ago.  Today I am featuring a beautiful pizza made for the 4th of July party was hosted that was created by my friend.  This dessert had to be one of the prettiest I have ever seen! Be Creative!!! 

Easy Fruit Pizza Dessert Recipe

The cream cheese frosting on this fruit loaded cookie dough recipe is IRRESISTIBLE!  At our last 4th of July party I was sure to stash a few pieces to enjoy after the party because I know it would be gone in a snap.

Ingredients:

    • 16.5 oz refrigerated Sugar Cookie Dough (about 1 roll ) 
    • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
    • ⅓ cup sugar
    • ½ teaspoon vanilla
    • Your favorite summer fruits (kiwi fruit, strawberries, red raspberries, blueberries, pineapple)
    • sprinkle with almond slivers or walnut crumbles

Instructions:

  1. Heat oven to 350°F. Spray 12-inch pizza pan with cooking spray. Break up cookie dough in pan; press dough evenly in bottom of pan to within 1/2 inch of edge. Bake 16 to 20 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely on cooling rack, about 30 minutes.
  2. In small bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar and vanilla with electric mixer on medium speed until fluffy. Spread mixture over cooled crust.
  3. Arrange fruit over cream cheese. Refrigerate until chilled, at least 1 hour. To serve, cut into wedges or squares. Cover and refrigerate any remaining pizza.  
  4. If adding nut sprinkles be sure to do so just before serving.


Grow Your Own Dessert Pizza
