In this post I share one of the many cherry trees we are growing in our home garden. This little beauty has one of the largest yields I’ve ever seen on a short cherry tree. The ‘Sweet Cherry Pie Tree in My Home Garden is the feature video today. Don’t miss images and growing tips below.

Sweet Cherry Pie Tree in My Home Garden
Just one look at this cute little tree and you will fall in love. Growing this variety in a container is possible but I would add it to a sunny garden space in the landscape. The red cherries can be spotted from a hundred feet away. Oddly enough the birds have not attached this tree. In the video below I show where it grows in our home garden orchard. Check out the image below to see how cute the berries are as well.

About The Sweet Cherry Pie Tree
This is a self-pollinating tree that loves loamy well drained soil which is perfect on our property. The tree is cold hardy for zones in hardiness zone 4-9. Grow this variety in FULL SUN and near at least one other cherry tree to improve the production. This tree is back by a few other cherry tree such as the black Tartarian tree, Rainie and Montmorency cherry tree. It is varieties like this one that has made us fans of cherry trees after watching the Black Tartarian take off. The Cherry Pie Tree is a winner because it is cute and easy to reach TONS of sweet / tart cherries. The tree is by First Edition and can grow up to 15 feet tall.
