Jamaican Jerk Chicken Wings Recipe

What do you think of when I say Jamaican? I start dreaming of a hot summer day. In this post create a super easy Jamaican Jerk Chicken Wings Recipe to enjoy any time of the year.  This is one of my favorite recipes because you can enjoy a drum stick in this amazing sauce as well.  I hope you will check it out and consider growing your own lime to add to the recipe.

Jamaican Jerk Chicken Wings

I am not sure where I first came across this recipe but I had to try it right away.  Over the years the recipe has changed and evolved into a nice mix of seasons and spices we always have on hand.  The topper is the lime juice added to the sauce and to finish it off before serving.   Be sure to scroll down and check out the printed version of this recipe.

Please note the image below features drumsticks but this can EASILY be created with chicken wings. I like getting my chicken wings from Aldi and Kroger fresh meat department.  Their wings have been HUGE!  Nothing better than a fresh piece of chicken that has a kick like the Jamaican Jerk Sauce provides.  I whip this up in my Pressure Cooker during the winter months.  The sauce is easy to store in the refrigerator for up to 3 months.

Jamaican jerk BBQ wings

Recipe Inspired by my Pressure Cooker BBQ Sauce!  It is so easy to create you’ll want to make BBQ year-round.

Jamaican Jerk Chicken Wings Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3 lb chicken – breasts, drum sticks, thighs or wings
  • 2 Tbsp Extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 4 Tbsp white wine vinegar
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 4 Tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 4 Tbsp Brens’ BBQ sauce

Instructions

  1. In medium non-metallic bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, white wine vinegar, orange juice, lime juice and Jamaican Jerk BBQ.
  2. Add chicken breasts; mix well to coat evenly. Cover chicken and refrigerate at least one hour.
  3. Bake or grill chicken as preferred.
  4. Reduce leftover marinade by first bringing it to a boil, and then simmering for at least 10 min. Pour over cooked chicken.
  5. This marinade can also be used for pork, lamb, beef, shrimp or any of your favorite grilled meats
