I could not believe my eyes this past spring when I saw new green growth on those 2 Vanilla Strawberry Hydrangeas I dug up last year. If you follow me in social media you may remember I shared how I dug them up after cutting them back from 4 feet tall to about 12″ tall. I let them sit out in the shade with just a little covering on the roots that were basically bare. These plants were destine to live apparently because they look pretty darn good this early June. The images below are from the move during the summer of 2020. The Vanilla Strawberry Hydrangeas were beautiful in that mostly shade location but I never got a really deep color bloom.
Wait until you see the new hydrangeas added to the spot I pulled these Hydrangeas!
