This is my first trip south of the Bay Area in California and I got to see Los Angeles with garden superstar Mud Baron #Flowersonyourhead. It’s going to take A few blog posts to share all the amazing garden locations we visited. For today’s post, I’m going to show a few photos from my iPhone to highlight the day! Check out more of my adventure on my website. For my day trip, we used the hashtag #buckeyeinLA.
I got to visit Muir Ranch in Pasadena
More about My visit to Muir Ranch on my website. It was pretty cool to see in person all the work Mud has done with this school in Pasadena.

Images From The Fun-Filled Day
We stopped y Social Justice Learning Institute where kids in Pasadena are learning to grow food. more about Social Justice on my website. To be honest, they really need some help with this food production from what I can see. Take in consideration it is summer in Southern California. I saw a lot of greens that kids really aren’t going to be interested in eating and from the looks of it they weren’t into the Kale. There really are many fruits and vegetables that could be growing that children would have fun with even in this warm hardiness zone.
What is Food Justice
I’m on the west coast to visit food gardens on the #NGBplantnerds tour of #VeggieTrials2015. I hope you will follow those hashtags through the week as me and five other awesome garden bloggers will be sharing our trip!
Let’s Connect
