Spring Party Cup Seeding DIY Video

It’s raining outside so I am indoors planting up some of my tomato seedlings.  Featured in the video is my Purple Russian and Daytona Tomato Seedlings that were started about 6 weeks ago.  They are all doing very well and it is perfect time to start them in their own container.  Take a closer look in the video to see how EASY it is to do this yourself.  What a great gift to give someone new to gardening when you see them this spring.  Check Out the video:

Aren’t the pink, turquoise, lime green and purple cups AWESOME?!  I saw the spring theme a few weeks back and didn’t think I would use them.  As I started getting request for my tomato plants I decided I didn’t want to give away my boring new grower containers so I picked up a bag at Walmart.  I found the cups on Amazon too if you want to show some love and buy some using my Amazon Affiliate link here.

I use my small hand drill with an 1/8th inch drill bit.  Carefully drill 3 holes in bottom of the cup and 4 on the sides of cup about 1/2 inch up evenly spaced.  EASY but go slow so you don’t let the drill get away from ya. (wink)

Using a good potting soil with some extra cocoa coir, vermiculite and peat moss mixed to let the seedlings continue grow good root systems.  I JUST LOVE this method of growing the seedlings until it is time to transplant outside.
