I’m on a Cinco De Mayo recipe sharing kick as the day of celebration approaches. This one is a must share mostly because I have jalapeno peppers come out of my ears. This has been one of the best years for pepper picking. My plant that is producing big-time will be spending the cooler days of early Autumn in my dome so the party can continue.
I’m so excited about this plant it is time to celebrate!
NO HEAT Jalapeno Margarita Recipe
Have you ever tasted a Jalapeno that wasn’t hot? One of my favorite pepper plants to grow is the ‘Tricked You” Jalapeno pepper. The plant is lovely and the pepper looks just like the original only you get pepper flavor without heat. This is a fun pepper to grow and TRICK your friends. Ask me about where to find this seed.
Spicy Jalapeño Margarita Recipe
A super simple recipe that I’ve vamped up with some heat. If you don’t like the heat but want the jalapeno flavor then the ‘Tricked You’ jalapeno is for you. Use your favorite tequila and always fresh juices for this drink. Be sure to drink responsibly because this could knock you on your butt!
I’ve been wanting to try Corona Beer in this beverage and I am so glad I finally did!
- 2 parts silver Tequila
- 1/2 part Gran Gala or orange liqueur
- 3 slices of Jalapeño pepper
- Juice of 1/8 lime
- 1 1/2 parts Corona Beer
- Shake Tequila, Gran Gala, lime juice and peppers with ice
- Pour into rocks glass with salted rim and lime wedge
- Top with Corona for some fizz
