In this post, I share one of my families favorite appetizers to enjoy almost any time of the year. In this post, I share my secrets to creating a creamy chorizo cheese dip.
Creamy Chorizo Cheese Dip Recipe
I started making this recipe after having it at a local restaurant. I SWEAR they use Velveta cheese as the base. Fry up the Chorizo and add to the cheese – couldn’t be any easier. At the restaurant downtown, they serve it in a cast-iron skillet pan. This is a great way to keep the dip nice and toasty if serving with a meal. Just be sure to have a plant or wood player under the hot skillet. I hope you enjoy this super easy recipe!!!

More About The Creamy Chorizo Cheese Dip Recipe Ingredients
Not the healthiest of appetizers but you don’t have to eat the entire dish. I find using Kroger brand melting cheese is much cheaper and even tastes better than the brand name cheese. Give it a try and tell me what you think.
NOTE: Add some pickled jalapeno peppers to the prepared cheese for those who like it spicy. I also enjoy this cheese poured over a taco or even Mexican theme casseroles.
Chorizo is a Mexican Chorizo is a highly seasoned chopped or ground pork sausage. I have also found chorizo in beef and chicken at local markets. Mexican chorizo is made with fresh (raw, uncooked) pork. I have sampled some from the Mexican market but prefer the local store-bought chorizo for this Creamy Chorizo Cheese Dip Recipe.
