In this post, I share a super simple No-Bake Peanut Butter Chocolate Cookie Recipe you are going to love. I am bookmarking this for my Christmas Cookie Party activities because this is a fun recipe to make with little kiddos because the hot oven is NOT involved. No-Bake Peanut Butter Chocolate Cookie Recipe
Oh yes, It is no-bake but a little stovetop action is required to melt down the butter. Scroll to the Directions to see Microwave instructions if you don’t want to fire up the stove. Both ways work perfectly for this easy to create recipe you can do with kids.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups white sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup butter
- 8 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder ( Hersey Special Dark)
- 1 cup crunchy peanut butter
- 3 cups quick-cooking oats
- 1 tablespoon of vanilla
Directions:
Line a baking sheet with wax paper or parchment.
Bring the sugar, milk, butter and cocoa to a boil in a medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally, then let boil for 1 minute.
Remove from the heat.
Add the oats, peanut butter, vanilla and salt, and stir to combine.
Drop teaspoonfuls of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, and let sit at room temperature until cooled and hardened, about 30 minutes.
Refrigerate in an airtight container.
