Peanut Butter Blossom Cookies Recipe

In this post I share a very simple but classic Peanut Butter Blossom Cookies Recipe. This recipe doesn’t use flour so it makes it a great treat for gluten free friends.

Peanut Butter Blossom Cookies

Peanut Butter Blossom Cookies

I came across this recipe years ago from my Pampered Chef baking notes.  This recipe may have been in one of the books but it was defiantly one I used while hosting kitchen shows.  This was way back before gluten free was a thing.  I find that the peanut butter cookie is chewy not using flour.  With a few simple ingredients you have a almost healthy snack.  (giggle) Just keep telling yourself that!

Vintage Cookie Press | Pampered Chef

For this recipe I also used my vintage Pampered Chef cookie press.  It took some fiddling with to get the design to push out that cute flower shape. If you don’t have a cookie press you can also just drop the cookie into 1″ (roughly 1 ounce weight) balls on to the cookie sheet.

Ingredients

  • sugar (1 cup)
  • Creamy peanut butter (1 cup)
  • Fresh Egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon of Vanilla extract
  • Hersey chocolate Kiss Candies

Note to self: be sure to check the peanut butter ingredients.  Usually the natural or organic peanut butter brands are officially gluten free.

I’ll be honest with you,  I wasn’t sure this was going to turn out not using flour.  Much to my surprise and my taste testers it was a HIT!

      1. They are one of my favorites this year. I still can’t believe there isn’t any flour in this cookie. It is super chewy – I added some crunchy organic peanut butter from Aldi in my 3rd batch and WOWZA!!!! Thank you for commenting Erin.
