The Acai fruit is quite addictive if you ask me. I walked a few blocks for a week during my first trip to La Jolla California just to enjoy this Acai Bowl for breakfast. In this post, I share my Acai Bowl Recipe.

Acai Breakfast Bowl Recipe

I can’t think of a single fruit that can replace all the goodness in Acai berries. If you mix blueberries, strawberries and maybe some raspberries together you might come close. In my neck of the woods, you can find Acai in the freezer department at most grocery stores. The Acai fruit is actually grown in Acai palm trees in South America. The fruit is worth a try because it is loaded with Antioxidants. Scroll down to see a recipe using Acai fruit that you’ll want to print and use over and over again!

My Personal Experience

During my first trip to Southern California, I found the cutest cozy Cafe that served the Acai Bowl. The location is called “Living Room Bistro” and while staying in La Jolla I enjoyed a coffee, brunch and even dinner at their location. Below is a photo from where I enjoyed my Acai Bowl two days in a row while my husband was at work. This café was super cozy and everyone was so friendly. Did I mention the food? This was my first time actually enjoying an Acai bowl that was prepared for me. I did pretty well with my ‘guess’ recipe creation a few months earlier.
