One of my all-time favorite treats during the Holiday season is any recipe with pistachios! Today I’m sharing my Chocolate Drizzle Pistachio and Cherry Cookie Recipe, perfect for a cheerful Christmas baking celebration.
About The Pistachio and Cherry Cookie
In our family, one of the highlights of the season is our annual cookie exchange. It’s a delightful tradition where everyone brings their favorite homemade cookies to share. This year, I’m excited to contribute my Chocolate Drizzle Pistachio and Cherry Cookies, inspired by an old potluck gathering tradition I used to enjoy at a local garden center.
Years ago, during Pot Luck Fridays, my colleagues and I would bring homemade dishes to share. Even the guys from the greenhouse or the farm fields made sure to join in for these special lunches. A sweet Italian friend always brought a delicious chocolate, pistachio, and cherry candy that inspired my cookie recipe. If only I had a smartphone back then to capture its deliciousness wrapped in foil!
This recipe is a family favorite because it captures the essence of those cherished memories in cookie form. The big chunks of dried cherries remain tender and moist, and the pistachios add an irreplaceable flavor. Check out the printable recipe option on this page to make your own batch.
When making these cookies, you can drizzle them with either white or dark chocolate. I’d love to hear which variation you prefer, so be sure to leave a comment.

What a killer combo of ingredients! Yum. Is that a repurposed garden trowel I see drizzilin the white?
