Spring at Nature’s Corner Garden Center

This post features images from my spring visit to this garden center (IGC).  One of the best things about visiting an independently owned garden center like this is the customer service and unique products you will find.  Below are a few of those products I found during this visit.

If you follow my blog you know I am a huge fan of conifers.  Some of my favorite varieties are carried by Monrovia.  I took a few photos of the unique trees and shrubs I found at this garden center today.

Magnolia trees are on my list of favorites over the past few years.  At this garden center I found a few different varieties I had never heard of or seen at other locations.  Keep in mind, if you get one of these varieties be sure to put it in a well protected area in the landscape.  This year my blooms are looking pretty good considering the below freezing nights we have had.

Calynopsis – annual in my Ohio hardiness zone but they orchid shaped blooms are super unique!

The first Calynopsis I've ever seen in NW Ohio!

The Nature’s Corner garden center is on Facebook and a website.  I recommend calling the location or better yet heading out to visit.  Be sure to allow some time to check out the restaurants and other nature related locations in that area.  Nature’s Corner is just a short jog to Toledo Botanical Gardens and Oak Openings Metro Park.
