The Best Chicken Pot Pie Recipe
In this post, I am using leftovers from our Thanksgiving turkey dinner but I have also used rotisserie chicken leftovers as well. Both taste very similar in this yummy and easy to create pie.
Because this is a classic recipe I recommend using the print option below and add this to your recipe book. Isn’t the cute little pie plate adorable? I use the Anchor 6″ pie plates in my Power Oven Air Fryer because they fit PERFECT! Don’t panic if you don’t have an Electric Air Fryer you can also use this recipe in the oven just account for the size of the plate. I share both options in the directions below.
Ingredients Needed:
- Chicken breast or left over turkey from Thanksgiving is perfect for this recipe.
- Rotisserie chicken is a great meat as well.
- Try this recipe without meat and add potatoes instead.
- Homemade crust is super easy but you can easily use store bought pie crust.
Chopped Onions for Saute – taste amazing in coconut oil.
The Pampered Chef Roller has been my favorite for Years! I found them on Amazon if you are interested in getting one and don’t want to deal with a Pampered Chef Consultant.
If you don’t like too much dough or crust you can skip making the bottom crust of the pie and just pour in mixture.
Did I convince you yet that the Electric Oven Air Fryer is for you?

So even in the air fryer it would take 30 minutes to cook?
Each Electric Air Fryer is different so be sure to keep an eye on the top pie crust making sure it is turning golden brown and not burning. My new Oven Air Fryer set at 350*F with the pie on the lowest rake only took 14 minutes to get golden brown. The chicken mixture is already cooked on the stove top.
I hope this helps Penny! Thanks for commenting and let me know how it taste for you!
These meal look delicious! Love that they only take 30 minutes to be made.

I have the original recipe from a cookbook I have and YES it’s the best and easiest to make and it tastes fabulous, my family loves it. Thank you for converting it to an air fryer recipe. I completely agree about the air fryer it’s my absolute favorite appliance and I use it on a daily basis. I also recommend a ninja one pot oven, I use the pressure cooker and then I use my air fryer and I spend a third of the time in the kitchen making dinner than I used too. Thanks again for the conversion and I will be looking out for more great conversions like this. You’ve helped me become more adventurous in the kitchen!
Thank you Christine for leaving a comment. I am looking up the ninja one pot oven now – never heard of it so I appreciate your share. I’ll try to get more recipes up for you with conversions to the air fryer oven. Where do I begin… we use it daily in my home and it does make cooking faster and not to mention a speedy cleanup!
See you in the kitchen soon,
Bren
