Wine Wednesday at RosiesWine Wednesday at Rosie’s Italian Grill in Toledo.  We didn’t set out because it is WINE WEDNESDAY but because they always have the best dining experience and food.

What’s For Dinner

I need to get back into my #whats4dinner shares on social media.  The Rosie’s Italian Grill experience is totally worth chatting about.  I am going to share some photos I took with my iPhone during our latest visit.  This is maybe our 4th time dining at this location.  WE LOVE IT – have never had a bad experience.

Start out the evening with appetizers is a must at Rosie’s. Everything is made fresh in house by the chef.   My husband and I love calamari! It is served with an amazing marinara sauce they use on their pasta.  The calamari has peppers mixed in that are just PERFECT!  The peppers add a little zip but not heat.

NY Strip Steak – 12 oz USDA Chicago Stockyard Angus strip, roasted garlic, zip sauce and served with asiago whipped potatoes.  Andy and I split the steak meal and added an extra house salad.

Carrot Cake – Very moist carrot cake layers which are made of flaky coconut, sweet crushed pineapple, & crunchy walnuts iced with a special cream frosting. Phil’s favorite birthday cake!

What I recommend at Rosie’s… everything!  I’ve never had a meal, drink, appetizer or dessert we didn’t love.

WINE Recommendation

You must have a bottle of wine on date night… don’t you agree?  Check with your server to make sure you can have it re-corked to take home the leftovers.

The really nice thing about this location is that they will give you a sample of the wine before you purchase it.  My husband and I prefer purchasing the bottle most of the time when we dine out.  Rosie’s Italian Grille has a HUGE selection of wines.  On Wednesdays, they have a great discount when you purchase the bottle as well.  This time around we went with the Fattoria Rodano Poggialupi.  I think we may have been then only ones studying up on Chianti.  I am hoping to bring home a real Chianti bottle from Italy on our upcoming trip so stay connected to hear more.

How to Get There

Directions are pretty easy if you are anywhere in Northwest Ohio.  Traffic moves pretty well in this part of town and we have never had any delays or sitting at a light.  Below is the Google Map and link to my review on Google.  Please be sure to LIKE IT!
