It is that time of year and I just don’t want to say goodbye to the beautiful vegetables and herbs that grew in the raised beds this year. The forecast is looking amazing for the next 2 weeks as long as we get through this freeze warning for the next two weeks. Roller Coaster Weather is normal for my area in Ohio. In this post I share a video with the raised beds featuring a harvest and how I am protecting a few plants from the cold temperatures over night we are expecting.
Vegetable and Herb Raised Beds VLOG
Join me in my raised beds and unheated greenhouse as I share a few ways I am protecting from the freeze warning. Viewers can enjoy the harvest while getting ideas of what the plants look like this time of the year. I am in Ohio hardiness zone 5b so having a harvest this late in the season can be unusual. It will be sad to see more of these die back in the weeks to come just because of the drastic temperatures that arrive from day to night. This is the first year I put a few plants in the greenhouse just to hold for the season. Most of the larger plants and things I grow year-round are all tucked in the 20 foot geodesic bio dome in the back of our property.
I will be sharing more about the hoop I mentioned in the vlog in the days to come. Be sure to subscribe to my website and bookmark so you get updates as new post are submitted. I can’t wait to share more about this growing adventure with you.
