Orange Mango Smoothie Recipe

Orange Mango Gritty with Turmeric and Walnuts

This recipe will surly make you feel happy inside and out.  The ingredients are easy to find locally and stock up on during the winter months.  The Orange mango smoothie recipe is best when you use fresh turmeric.  Mango use to be hard to find locally when I first started making this recipe.  Now I find that amazing energy boosting fruit in the freezer department if not in the fresh produce isle.  STOCK UP!!!  If you can’t find fresh oranges at a good price, don’t be afraid to use about 2 oz. of orange juice concentrate.  Below are the ingredients you will need for this tasty treat.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cold coconut water
  • 3 oranges, peeled
  • 2 mangoes, peeled and cubed (you can also find these in the frozen department)
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric grated / minced finely
  • 1 inch piece of ginger, peeled and minced finely

Directions

  1. Add the coconut water, oranges, mangoes, turmeric powder and ginger to the blender. Starting the blender on a low speed, blend until smooth. If needed gradually increase to higher speeds and blend until smooth.
  2. Serve up for breakfast or afternoon snack!
