Michigan Garden Center With Kids In Mind

You know I love garden centers… in this post, you get to experience with me the first real ‘kid-friendly’ garden center.  I’m wishing I had young children of my own again as I write this post!

Parran’s Greenhouse & Farm in Ida, Michigan

It’s not every day you find a garden center that is kid-friendly.  This is the first location I actually saw kids who were having a fun time looking at plants and even a place to wait for mom safely.   I wish there were more of these when my kiddos were little.

This location specializes in  the following;

  • Fairy gardens
  • Plants for sandy soil
  • water gardens
  • container gardens
  • pollinator-friendly plants
  • play area for kids

Parran's Garden Center
5355 Secor Road
Ida, Michigan 48140

A short drive over the Michigan – Ohio state line and you will find this family-owned and operated garden center. This is a great location out in the country. The small mom and pop garden center with plenty of parking. I appreciate the carts to load up their wide selection of extremely healthy plants. The prices are truly something to TWEET about!  Flats of veggies or annuals retail at great prices. Be sure to bring the kids because they have an adorable play area to keep them occupied while mom & dad shop!  I’m sounding like a commercial but this place is really something to write home about!
