Chrysanthemum Autumn Care and Growing Tips
One of my favorite plants to grow in my home and garden is the Mum or Chrysanthemum. I don’t know about you but I’ve been limiting driving around and trying to save a few pennies. The seeds I bought to start my own this spring were forgotten so I’ll have to try again next year. In the video below I share 3 of the unique varieties I found this week locally for a great price. With saving a few pennies it is important to make what you purchase last the season or longer. Be sure to watch the video and comment letting me know what you think about growing the Chrysanthemum.

Fun Growing Facts About Chrysanthemum
Mums or Chrysanthemum start to show signs of life early in the spring here in Ohio. The plant can provide a nice healthy green in the landscape until they bloom later in Summer thru Autumn. Over the years there have been many new varieties and colors introduced and available even out in my small town. Below are few more fun facts about the beautiful plant that I appreciate.
- Mums bloom into a hard frost in my hardiness zone.
- This plant can be used indoors and outdoors in containers.
- Chrysanthemums are easy to grow from seed.
- The Mum is a perennial in most zones and can be planted late in the summer season if cared for properly.
- Chrysanthemum plants do well in greenhouses and conservatory settings year-round.
