Cheesy Sausage and Egg Bake Recipe

In this post I share my favorite Cheesy Sausage and Egg Bake Recipe.  This is a recipe you can almost always create using what you have on hand.  If you don’t have the quick ingredients I have a link to biscuit mix substitute.

Cheesy Sausage and Egg Bake Recipe

Egg Bake

Perfect recipe you can double if you are serving more than four people.  I used my biscuit mix substitute recipe because I don’t have quick mixes on hand but always have flour and baking powder.  Be sure to get creative and use vegetables you have on hand.  Nothing wrong with experimenting.

  3. Bake uncovered 30 to 35 minutes or until golden brown and set.

You can get creative with this recipe.  I share more about the ingredients below in this post.

Get Creative

fresh is best

Fresh ingredients are key to this recipe.  Below are a few additional ingredients you can consider to use in this recipe.  The sausage or ham are totally optional.  This can be created using different cheese as well.  I have also used fresh herbs in this egg bake recipe.  When doing so be sure to add extra cheese to the recipe.  The herbs can be overpowering so be very careful.  If you are not an herb person – do not do this!

  • ham
  • sausage
  • sweet onion
  • red peppers
  • jalapeno
  • herbs – mint and fresh parsley

Just be sure to use fresh and what you enjoy eating!  That is the fun thing about cooking up your own meal.
