Orange Mango Gritty with Turmeric and Walnuts

Orange Mango Smoothie Recipe

One of my favorite ‘treats’ or breakfast smoothies is made with orange, mango and some turmeric.  In this post I share a simple orange mango smoothie recipe you will most likely make again and again.  Don’t forget to scroll down to check out the turmeric growing tips and printable recipe. Orange Mango Smoothie Recipe This recipe will surly make you feel happy inside and out.  The ingredients are easy to find locally and stock up on during the winter months.  The Orange mango smoothie recipe is best when you use fresh turmeric.  Mango use to be hard to find locally when I first started making this recipe.  Now I find that amazing energy boosting fruit in the freezer department if not in the fresh produce isle.  STOCK UP!!!  If you can’t find fresh oranges at a good price, don’t be afraid to use about 2 oz. of orange juice concentrate.  Below are the ingredients you will need for this tasty treat. Ingredients 8 ounces cold coconut water 3 oranges, peeled 2 mangoes, peeled and cubed (you can also find these in the frozen department) 1 teaspoon turmeric grated / minced finely 1 inch piece of ginger, peeled and minced finely Directions Add the coconut water, oranges, mangoes, turmeric powder and ginger to the blender. Starting the blender on a low speed, blend until smooth. If needed gradually increase to higher speeds and blend until smooth. Serve up for breakfast or afternoon snack! New Year in the Geodesic Bio Dome

In this post I share a very happy start to the new year in the Geodesic Bio Dome.  Wait until you see the new plants that are blooming and all the sunshine.  It is hard to believe it was the coldest day in the new winter season.
