It’s one of those hot afternoon but not humid days where you can get loads done in the garden. I’m so excited that I am sharing this delicious fruity banana and raspberry smoothie recipe. It is easy to whip up a healthy and totally yummy snack to keep me going this afternoon. Using almond milk is a great way to cut fat and calories and I really love the flavor when you blend it with fresh fruit.

Delicious Fruity Banana Creamer Recipe

Bananas are on my list to purchase every time I go to the grocery store.  I love purchasing from Sams or Costco because you can get organic bananas for a cheap price.  The banana bundles are loaded with large and ready to use fruit.  It never fails I have to freeze up a few because we can’t eat them fast enough.  These little frozen banana slices are perfect for mixing up desserts and smoothies when it is a busy day.

Freezing The Banana

You don’t have to get technical when it comes to freezing bananas.  All I do is peel the banana and slice the fruit into bite-size pieces.  These are the perfect size for almost any smoothie. The banana can stay in the freezer in an airtight container for over 3 months.  Mine never make it that long – we eat them quickly in frozen treats.
