Dahlia and Gomphrena Flowers

Two of my favorite flowers to grow in my home garden are the dahlia and Gomphrena.  From the Summer home garden images I put together the video below.  I hope you enjoy the unique images of how these flowers grow together.

It is fun to look back at the flowers I have grown with dahlias.  One of my favorite pairings is with the gomphrena plant.  Check out the slide show and images below.

Dahlia and Gomphrena Flowers

I’ve been growing dahlias from tubers in my home garden for over 10 years.  You can find details on how I do this successfully on my website under dahlia category.  Gomphrena flowers are a fun addition to the cut flower garden.  This flower also dries well to use in arrangements.

Below are just a few of the dahlias I grow each year in my home garden.  Today I have well over a dozen different varieties in the cut flower garden.

I am starting gomphrena from seed this week.  The plants will be able to go out in the garden after May 15 which is my last frost date.

In conclusion of see the dahlia and gomphrena flower together I would love to hear your feedback.  Wouldn’t it be amazing if dahlias would dry and nice as the gomphrena flower?

Happy Gardening,
