It’s a super hot weekend in my Ohio making it the time to kick back and enjoy National Tequila Day on Sunday, July 24. This recipe is totally an out of the box spin with it’s black raspberries from the garden addition to a classic cocktail with edible flowers as a garnish. Below I’ve shared the recipe along with a fun info-graph illustrating a few of my favorite flowers that are edible.
[alert-success]Black Raspberry Margarita[/alert-success]
Black Raspberry Margarita
1 ½ oz Tequila
½ oz Triple Sec
3 oz Sour Mix
½ oz Chambord Liquor
In a shaker filled with ice, add ingredients and shake to mix.
Pour into margarita glass rimmed with salt (optional).
Garnish with a lime or blackberry.

Not all flowers are edible so you want to be very careful what you add to your menu. Another very important fact about the flowers is to be sure they have not been grown of sprayed with pesticides. A few of my favorite edible flowers are listed below:
