Pumpkin Pie Protein Smoothie Recipe

A few years ago I fell in love with the pumpkin pie smoothie at the new Tropical Smoothie Restaurant in our area.  It wasn’t until this year I finally whipped up a recipe that tasted similar and I don’t have to leave home to enjoy it.  Most of these ingredients I usually have on hand in the pantry.  Check out the Pumpkin Pie Protein Smoothie Ingredients below.

Direction is super easy as long as you use a powerful blender!  Below is how you would whip up 2 smoothies in one blender.

  1. Add all of the ingredients to the blender.  Be sure to add the ice and frozen banana at the bottom of the powerful blender.
  2. Blend on high for at least 3 minutes or until smooth and color is consistent.
  3. Add more milk to thin out if it is too thick.  ENJOY!

It was a perfect day to enjoy this smoothie.  Below is a photo of the pumpkins and gourds I grew along with the smoothie I whipped up.  Picture Perfect!

Both the banana and the pumpkin puree is loaded with protein so enjoy! Therefore, in this tasty treat, you get lots of nutritional value.  A few years back I had the honor of whipping up some pumpkin puree from scratch with my friend Janet in Ohio.  I had so much fun learning about how to make your own.  She made it looks so frickin easy – but I have yet to do this process on my own.

  1. Interesting with banana added to this protein smoothie. It’s not a fruit think about for fall going have to process this info. Maybe make one for the kid and see reaction first.

    1. This is one of my favorite recipes this time of year. This year I am going to try using the puree right from the pumpkin. If you use a powerful blender that puree will be perfect! Thank you for commenting on my post.
