Russian Sage Pollinator Friendly In Home Gardens

In this post I share videos featuring Russian Sage in my home garden.  The video features two things I absolutely love – Bees and Perennials in my Ohio Garden!  Start out with my vlog featuring 2 varieties growing in my landscape.  I hope you will take a look below. Vlog Review From My Garden Check out this video featuring the 2 different sages growing in my front garden landscapes. Creating videos to share globally has been my passion for years.  Find more videos like this on my Bren Haas YouTube Channel.   About Russian Sage in My Home Garden I first fell in love with this plant years ago when I brought a plant home not knowing what it was.  I liked the scent when you rubbed the leaves and had no idea it would bloom.  The plant kind of reminds of the herb lavender.  Personally, I love the Russian Sage Perennial in a grouping or mass planting. The downside is you have to wait until late June to Mid-July for any color on this plant.  Once it starts to bloom it really lights up the garden and landscape space. Russian Sage And Companions In the post below I share some other great plants that look amazing with this perennial in most any garden. More About Russian Sage There are seven species of Perovskia, but P. atriplicifolia is the only one commonly available. Salvia yangii, Perovskia atriplicifolia and commonly known as Russian sage, is a flowering herbaceous perennial plant. There are seven species of Perovskia, but P. atriplicifolia is the only one commonly available. In the first year, you will have to water well until it is established. It does best if you mulch the space where the perennial is planted.  The plant does best in full sun and very dry landscape.  This is a spectacular plant to grow in a mass planting. Please note there are a few different types of Russian Sage.  One of my favorites besides the Perovskia featured on this page is the Denim N’ Lace.   Let’s Connect Thank you for stopping by my short post today on my site.  I would love to connect with you so be sure to leave a comment on this post or reach out on my website.  Do you grow Russian Sage?
