Black Lace Elderberry Shrub
Sambucus nigra ‘Eva’ Black Lace or the Black Lace Elderberry Shrub has been in my home garden since 2009. In this post I share how this shrub preforms in my hardiness zone 5b garden and why I recommend it. Sambucus nigra ‘Eva’ Black Lace Video In my garden formally known as the BGgarden grows this amazing Black Lace Shrub. In the video below you can see how it dances in the breeze. Black Lace In My Landscape A shrub that grows quickly in dry or part loamy soil is what I have experienced with the Black Lace Elderberry. Below are a few photos from the first years featured in my landscape. The image on the left is a dry full sun location where I have pruned the shrub to appear to be climbing the deck. The image on the right is a mostly shade garden in the front of the house where I prune the Black Lace to stay at about 3-4 feet tall and 6-10 feet wide.
