Beth Billstroms GrowNow 2015 Blogging Event

In this weeks blog post for week 14 of Growing Now 2015 hosted by Beth Billstrom of MoreThanOregano.com .  A walk in the cut flower portion of my home veggie garden is something I look forward to each year and today I share it on Growing Now 2015 Tour.

Zinnias, Sunflowers and Cosmos

Zinnias, Sunflowers and Bees Growing Now in my Home Garden … when the winter arrives I dream of the time I spend walking in the cut flowers I grew from seed each summer.

My cucumbers really struggled this year with too much water and no heat and then it got dry and hot. This is why I grow cardinal Climber vine with the cucumbers on the trellis so when the cukes are done the climbers take over. I just love how this looks with the sunflower and zinnias on the edge of the big garden.

Grow Some Boom

Growing popping corn and sunflowers in this space really makes me happy!   The corn is just starting to produce in late August…. no worries.
