In this weeks blog post for week 13 of Growing Now 2015 hosted by Beth Billstrom of MoreThanOregano.com I‘m just returning from the West Coast after touring Veggie Trials to find a HUGE Zucchini and blooms along the wood-line of my home. I’m so excited to show off the butterflies enjoying the blooms in my gardens and a link to my favorite homemade zucchini bread.
Wildflowers in the Wood-Line
I live in what was once known as the Black Swamp. Over 10 acres of our property is woods that is kept totally natural. Today I spotted a few fun colors blooming in the woods that I want to share with you.
Wild Sunflowers …maybe?!
Help me with plant ID if you know what any of these are called.
Cute Little Flower in the Meadow … no clue what it is!
The Zucchini Got HUGE while I was gone for the week… it is perfect for my zucchini recipe I share at the bottom of the page.
I love watching the butterflies and humming birds enjoy these beautiful volunteer sunflower just outside my kitchen window.
It has been so much fun seeing what everyone is sharing each week from their gardens on blogs and social media. You should join in on the hashtag #GrowNow2015. Stop by Beth’s site and see who is featured for Week 11 on #GrowNow2015 .
