Retro Deviled Eggs

Super simple to make and everyone will enjoy these retro deviled eggs.  I’m excited to try this recipe out because I just got a dozen fresh eggs from my friends coop to use in this recipe.

Retro Deviled Eggs

  • 12 hard-boiled eggs, cooled and peeled
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon coarse ground horseradish
  • 1/4 teaspoon Nielsen-Massey Pure Lemon Extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon Nielsen-Massey Madagascar Bourbon Pure Vanilla Powder


  1. Cut eggs in half lengthwise.
  2. Remove yolks and place in a medium mixing bowl, then mash yolks with a fork.
  3. Add mayonnaise, mustard, horseradish, lemon extract and salt; stir to combine.
  4. Spoon egg filling into a pastry bag fitted with your favorite star tip.
  5. Pipe filling into egg white halves.
  6. Combine paprika and vanilla powder and evenly sprinkle over deviled eggs.
  7. Serve chilled.
