Pulled Pork Salad Recipe

Are you planning to create any new recipes for your 4th of July parties this coming week? Fourth of July means the beginning of the Summer harvest for me with a few of my early tomatoes starting to ripen and all the beans on the vine to enjoy. Today I’m sharing the perfect recipe for those of you who spend the weekend smoking pork.   This creative and flavorful salad can accompany your barbecue this Independence Day. The delicious BBQ Taco Salad features Tony Roma’s Pulled Chicken, black beans, heirloom tomatoes, and crunchy tortilla strips.  Be sure to print this one up and take it with you to your next get together.

Pulled Pork Salad Recipe

Yield: 4 servings


  • 1 package (16 ounces) Pulled Pork*
  • 1 can (15 ounces) black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 3 cups loosely packed torn romaine lettuce
  • 2 cups crushed corn tortilla chips
  • 2 large Roma tomatoes, chopped
  • 2/3 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 3 tablespoons chopped green onions
  • Sour cream


  1. Heat pulled pork according to microwave directions. Place in a large salad bowl.
  2. Top with remaining ingredients, except sour cream. Toss ingredients until combined.
  3. Top each serving with a dollop or drizzle of sour cream.


Substitute Tony Roma’s Pulled Chicken for the Pulled Pork. Follow recipe directions.
