In this post I share what we did with a free seed packet my son brought home from Lowes after making a lumber purchase. Check out my How to grow nasturtium seeds from Lowes video and images.
Nasturtium Seeds From Lowes Video
In the video I show what the nasturtium seeds grow to look like. It is really a pretty plant that the photo on the seed packet doesn’t do it justice. I feel like if you looked at the package and you planted the seeds you wouldn’t like the plant as much. If you knew what the plant would do in a container or in the landscape it greatly helps. Check out what I did and don’t forget to scroll down and leave feedback.
Facts About Nasturtium
Personally, I have been growing nasturtium from seed since we owned our first home. My sister in law introduced me to the seed. I would plant them in my landscape and enjoy them until the heat kicked in. After the really dry heat spell passed the flowers would come back from the roots. The nasturtium is an annual in my hardiness zone and I never had a plant reseed after a winter. Many say you need to soak the seed before planting. In recent days, I have been placing the seed directly in the soil and watering it well with no issues. Sometimes when I would soak the seed I would forget about it and that is not a good thing! There are many different varieties on the market today that trail or mound. I’ve got a few new varieties I am growing this year so I look forward to sharing them with you as they bloom.

Over the years I’ve become to love more herbs in my home landscape. Most of the plants I had no idea were even herbs. Dandelions
