I Brought the Snow With me to Atlanta

I’m so excited to be in Atlanta, Georgia this week for the Garden Blogger Conference.  It was a exciting adventure on what normally would have been a 1 1/2 hour flight from Detroit to Atlanta.  When I left my garden the temperatures were in the single digits so the 30*F unseasonable weather in Atlanta was a surprise but it is a heat wave compared to our Ohio temperatures in from the past month.
My flight was delayed in Detroit after we left the gate because of engine issues they said were normally caused by cold weather.  The trip to the great city of Atlanta took an additional 4 hours but HEY … I’m thankful I got her safe and I got to talk gardening with some amazing folks along the way.   Everyone from the airplane ride to checking into my hotel have been amazing.

If you are coming in for the event from the Atlanta Airport I totally recommend using the Public transportation system.  It is was super easy and you hardly have to step outside to the train.  It was a quick ride down to the Buckhead area where the conference is taking place.

Even the city had snow that morning the pansies looked happy and warming to me as I arrived in the city after sunset.
