One of my favorite accessories in the garden is my collection of black metal lanterns. I use these simple pieces in the landscape year-round. During the Holiday season I love to dress them up to match my home. Red bows and greener to match the theme on the outside of our home to welcome friends and family.

Simple Tea Lite for a Warm Glow
Easy DIY for Outdoor Landscape
For this project all you need is a few branches of pine / evergreen and red bows. If you don’t have a tree of your own you can trim you can pick up bouquets in just about any size at local florist or garden centers that are open during the Christmas season. You will also need about 1 yard or 1″ ribbon for each bow. Check out the video below for instructions on how to make your own bows. Attach the completed bow to the top of each lantern with floral wire. Be sure that the ribbon doesn’t come any where near the flame of the tea lite inside the lantern.
