There were a few trees I noticed along Ohio Rt 24 on my drive to Columbus that had started to show autumn color. Golden corn and temperature today were a humid 80°f … Not feeling like Autumn. Upon arrival to our state capital I swung by a garden center my friend Lisa at @houseplantguru recommended. After my visit to Oakland Nursery I was in the mood to decorate indoors and out for Autumn. I traveled north to meet up with a couple of garden writer friends before the Michigan Nursery and Landscape Tour. One of the highlights of the day was to watch sunset in Walters Garden in Zeeland Michigan. In this post I share some of the photos I took with my iPhone. Perhaps the highlight of my day which included a 5 hour drive up to Michigan was to catch the beautiful sunset surrounded by amazing plants in the Walters Garden in Zeeland with my friend Susan.

I couldn’t believe how beautiful this strawberry plant looked this late in the summer along a border in the garden. Can you believe the harvest we pulled off of one plant? They were super yummy too! This is the Fragaria ‘Gasana” Strawberry in the Walter Garden Collection.
During this trip to Michigan touring some of the most amazing gardens I’ve ever seen in the nation I was surrounded by the top landscape designers from the state of Michigan.
