Cordless String Trimmer : No More Gas

This is by far my favorite tool in the garden because it is cordless and gets the job done like a commercial tool.  Check out the details recommending the Cordless String Trimmer on this post.

Everyone has yard work stories right? I can look back at this true story and giggle because I don’t have to deal with ‘priming the engine’ and adding gas to the string trimmer any longer. In today’s post, I’m sharing a giggle and a product review you are sure to enjoy.

That’s my little guy on the right in the image above… only he isn’t such a little guy today. This was a photo I found of my #littlehelper back in 1999 when to help Mom with yard work at our first home in Perrysburg, Ohio. My husband and I added a white picket fence to help keep a safe play area for our children. The only problem with this fence was the grass that grew under it. Every other week I had the dreaded job of pulling out the gas power trimmer and cutting back the lawn from the bottom of the fence. I will never forget the afternoon I was so frustrated because I couldn’t figure out WHY the dang thing wouldn’t start after priming it…. pulling the string a billion times. It took my 3-year-old #littlehelper to remind me: “Mom … did you put gas in it?!” Sure enough, the tank was empty.   Everyone got a good laugh at how it took my 3-year-old to help me do some weed trimming in our yard.

My #littlehelper today is off to college full time. It is important for me to have quality power tools in my barn that I can easily and safely use.  I’ve got close to 6 acres of landscaped gardens on our 18 acres in Ohio with tall grass and weeds that keep on growing.  GreenWorks 21362 G-MAX 40V Digipro 14-Inch String Trimmer, 4AH Battery, and Charger Included – Attachment Capable by GreenWorks is one of my favorite tools to use mostly because it is a power tool I don’t need help with…. YES … even I can figure out if this tool needs gas.

Cordless String Trimmer: No More Gas

*I love how this cordless string trimmer is so quiet and NO stinky smell from a gas engine which means I can wack weeds and grass anytime without trying to figure out how to mix up 2 cycle fuel.

Things I love about the GreenWorks 21362 G-MAX 40V Digipro 14-Inch String Trimmer, 4AH Battery and Charger Included – Attachment Capable

  • Professional performance without carbon emission
  • Easy on ears even at full power

  • No oil mixing or gas to pour for engine
  • Powered by 80V Li-Ion technology makes this the highest voltage in the industry

Lightweight and simple electric start – on/off button

In the image above you can see the easy touch on / off and two-speed option on the GreenWorks 21362 G-MAX 40V Digipro 14-Inch String Trimmer, 4AH Battery, and Charger Included – Attachment Capable by GreenWorks. Just turn on the trimmer by gently pushing down on the trigger and away you go! I worked in the garden with it for over an hour and my carpal tunnel didn’t act up.

I hope you will stop by the GreenWorks site and check out what they are doing to be Environmentally Friendly.  Please note I was not paid to write about GreenWorks –  the product was given to me to review.

I highly recommend this tool and purchasing on Amazon is super easy if you have Prime!

    • thanks for stopping by Heather. Something we don’t think about when we are putting in landscapes and gardens – someday we will older and have to tend to them. This electric trimmer makes it super easy to do some big jobs!
