This recipe today is a tasty and low carbohydrate alternative to a traditional soup. I share how to create my Clam Chowder in the Pressure Cooker Recipe

Clam Chowder in the Pressure Cooker Recipe

I keep ‘tweeting’ this recipe and today I think I created the BEST version of all.  Below I shared the recipe and video.  Be sure to let me know what you think of it after you try it.  The recipe was prepared in the pressure cooker just because it is pretty much the ONLY way I make soup these days.  Curious why I love the pressure cooker?  Ask me!

There are as many different ways to create a great tasting clam chowder soup.  Over the past few years, I’ve had the privilege of enjoying real Boston Clam Chowder in Massachusetts and even a creamy clam chowder up in Maine.  After lots of taste testing (my favorite part) and creating a few versions of the recipe on my own the recipe today is one of my favorites. The first time I made a clam chowder in my kitchen I used the stovetop.  Pressure cooking recipes are super easy and totally cost-efficient. It uses fresh ingredients and some canned clams because we live in Ohio.  Be sure to take advantage of my printable recipe option below.

I’ve used the Clams a few times now after finding them cheap at Walmart.  Be sure to check your local store for that brand and or order using Instacart.

Power Pressure Cooker

This Power Pressure Cooker has become a permanent appliance in my kitchen.  Sometimes on Sunday, I use it to create 3-4 meals to use during the week.

Saute Celery, Onion and Garlic

I use the pressure cooker in a saute mood as a frying pan.  It’s nice to not have too many dishes to do.

Clams in Can

We are in Ohio so the Clams I use are from a can.  I can trust that the Bumble Bee brand and it is easy to find at Walmart.  I used the chopped variety in this soup and did find a little shell so be careful.

I ran out to the dome greenhouse to get some fresh thyme while the soup was cooking in the Pressure Cooker.
