Celebrate National Popcorn Day

Popcorn is one of my all time favorite things to enjoy at least twice a week so when I heard that January 19 was National Popcorn Day I was ECSTATIC!   In today’s post we are getting super creative with this all time favorite treat jazzed up with sweetness and spice!

Colman's Mustard Spicy Chocolate Popcorn


  • 1 bag buttered popcorn
  • ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 2 tsp. Colman's Mustard
  • 1 tbsp. light Karo Syrup


  1. Pop the popcorn according to package directions.
  2. In a small saucepan add the chocolate chips and heat on low.
  3. Add the milk and stir constantly until the chocolate is melted and smooth.
  4. Add the mustard and the Karo syrup. Mix well.
  5. Dump the popcorn into a bowl and pour chocolate mixture over popcorn.
  6. Mix well and let it sit till it cools.
