Broccoli and Blooms to Show Off for Week 11 of #GrowNow2015

Growing Now 2015

Beth Billstroms GrowNow 2015 Blogging Event

In this weeks blog post for week 11 of Growing Now 2015 hosted by Beth Billstrom of MoreThanOregano.com  I shared a short video of my images from the large veggie garden along with tons of photos included in this post.  I’m so excited to show off the first of the zinnias to bloom along with a handful of beans I grew from seed!

Video Slide Show for #GrowNow2015
I’m busy learning a new format to use for presentations I enjoy doing every Tuesday with fellow gardener Adam Cortell. While practicing I decided to do a quick ‘show’ featuring my Growing Now share.

If you can’t view this : click over to my BrenHaas on Youtube Channel.

Don’t miss our new presentations that start on Tuesday August 3, 2015 where we welcome Janet Cassidy sharing how 101 for Canning Tomatoes.  Click HERE to register for the event and find out about the giveaway!

GrowNow2014 in my Home Veggie Garden

In today’s presentation I’m sharing from my larger traditional veggie garden that measures about 30’x50′.  We’ve had a rough start and the weather has not always been working in our favor for growing some of our favorite things. In the video above I share more about what is working and why.

Rose of Sharon : Veragated
Rose of Sharon : variegated

So excited to have this Sugar Tip Rose of Sharon Hibiscus syracus by Proven Winners blooming in my landscape today.  It is one of my favorites because it is a doubling bloom and the leaves on the plant are variegated.  Unfortunately, the Japanese beetles love this shrubs just as much as the other rose of sharons.
