Biltmore in Ashville, North Carolina USA
Located in Asheville, North Caroline, Biltmore was the vision of George W. Vanderbilt, who sought to create a retreat from society life in the 1890’s. Biltmore encompasses 8,000 acres of managed forest, farmland and historic gardens designed by Frederick Law Olmstead, the father of American landscape architecture. The rose garden, cultivated since 1895, remains in the original location. Today, in addition to Biltmore House and Gardens, the estate includes Antler Hill Village and Winery : the four star Inn on Biltmore Estate, Biltmore Equestrian Center, numerous restaurants and meeting venues and Biltmore For Your Home, the company ‘s licensed product division.
Biltmore is an excellent resource for respected expert information on arts, architecture, agriculture, culinary methods, horticulture, wine-making, home products, forest management, history, and many other disciplines. Contact Biltmore’s PR department to request information or an interview with Biltmore’s gardens experts.
