The chocolate in this photo share appears to have nothing to do with growing but I’m going to share with you how it is about of growing garden relationships using social media. You see, I started following this talented foodie / lifestyles writer back in March 2012 while attending the Philadelphia Flower show. We both were at the #flowershow sharing on Twitter and yet I never got to met her in person. We tweeted back and forth after I saw her tweet about the Hawaiian Village Marketplace products located at this huge indoor show in Philly and that is where our engaging relationship began. She was a life savor on a few of my visits to Philly : sharing with me where to get the best cannoli when I was done with work while on assignment this past spring. What an adventure to follow someone’s tweets on where to turn in Reading Terminal to find an Italian Pastry Shoppe that I must admit was out of this world! Who trust someone they have never met to give them directions in a huge city for great foodie finds?! You can imagine my surprise when I won an amazing chocolate basket from a contest event on @nycstylecannoli ‘s blog this past November. It was a little piece if the big city and a reminder that engaging does matter on social media.
Below is the Photo collection from the beautiful gift basket I received. This basket is not just amazing chocolate and a really cool houseplant I can keep to remind me of my lucky win and of a friend I know on Twitter. You can view the giveaway that was posted on NYC, Style and a little Cannoli Blog : Basket Giveaway . The shop looks amazing in the photography she shares. The chocolate was delivered in an elegant fashion with tissue paper, designer seal and note cards with detailed information about LA Burdick Chocolate. Be sure to follow LA Burdick Chocolate on Twitter! These chocolates in an adorable wicker basket along with a houseplant would make an amazing gift for anyone – including the special gardener on your list!
Also be sure to tweet out to @nycstylecannoli and be sure to follow her wonderful shares about products, events and just a wonderful lifestyle on the East coast!
Thank you Rosemary for sharing NYC with us on Social Media … I hope we actually get to met in 2013!
