Cheerful Original Classic Wreath Giveaway

My Friend P.Allen

The cooler temperatures in my Ohio garden has brought me indoors to stay warm and start decorating for the Thanksgiving and Christmas season.  I’m so excited to be able to offer this giveaway from my friends at P.Allen Smiths because I have had my eye on his collection of Holiday decor since I first saw it in 2010 at the Independent Garden Center show when I was working photography for The Garden World Report with Shirley Bovshow.  Every year I dream of owning one of P.Allen Smiths beautiful  pieces in my home or garden.   This year I’m offering a chance for you to enjoy the Original Classic 20″ Wreath in your home or garden.

  1. I started making my own Christmas wreaths 5 years ago when we bought a house with a set of double front doors. My flimsy, plastic wreath didn’t look decent enough for public viewing against those 2 doors. Now I’m back down to one front door but like wreaths on all my doors. Winning this one would be a delight and fit perfectly on the porch door.

  2. Bren, We can always count on Allen for holiday inspiration from the garden! Our family makes candy each year to share with family and friends. It’s great fun!

  3. Hi Bren! My family has two Christmas traditions that have continued from childhood until now. #1- my Mom’s cornbread dressing. The smell and taste of that dressing mean the holidays to us. #2- we bundle up in the car and drive around looking at Christmas lights. Over the years we have added to that tradition. Now days, we eat Mexican food, go to the 7:30 p.m. Christmas Eve church service and then drive around looking at lights. The holidays just wouldn’t be the holidays without those traditions.

  4. I love that Christmas is a time of family togetherness & traditions. One of my favorite traditions is making cookies with my Mom & my kids.

  5. On Thanksgiving each year, we draw name’s for a Secret Santa gift. It’s a surprise, so we don’t tell who has who. The object is to buy a funny gift costing no more than one dollar which is individually humorous for the recipient. For example, I had my brother’s name one year. He worked at a dairy farm and his feet smelled horrid after a day of work. It was a running joke all year long about his stinky feet. So of course, I bought him Odor Eaters shoe inserts!

  6. Went to Facebook : Click over and liked the BGgarden on Facebook and gave the Original Classic Wreath Giveaway posting a LIKE.

  7. I love to decorate with fresh greenery. I always put the lights on the tree then hand the ornament boxes to my kids and let them take over. Each year we pick out new decorations to add to the Christmas tree.

  8. We were blessed with 2 daughters when i started the tradition of getting them hand-made ornaments for the tree..now we have 5 granddaughters and our last little miracle will be getting her very first ornament this year! My oldest daughter should have enough ornaments she could cover the whole tree lol.

  9. Our yearly tradition is to have our family Thanksgiving on Thurday, and eat way too much & spend time together. And then first thing Friday morning we bundle up and head out to the Christmas tree farm. We pick out our tree, cut it down, have hot chocolate, and head home. We do the whole getting it straight in the stand on our front porch, and then bring it in and decorate. Fun family time, and the same every year.

  10. We have a few kinds of cookies from family recipes that we make every year for Christmas, and also Mom’s Christmas stollen is a must have.

  11. I have given our daughter a Christmas ornament on Christmas Eve every year. She is now 28 and married and I have continued the tradition to her and her husband. When she celebrated her first Christmas in her own home I gave her a memory box covered in holiday photos of her through the years that contained all her ornaments thus far. I hope to continue this tradition with grandchildren one day.
