Don’t Miss The Header on Twitter

Twitter added a new feature back in September and it has come to my attention that many of my Twitter connections are NOT aware of.  The impact of this new option is huge so let me try and explain some simple facts about this new feature.

The new feature is similar to the Facebook Timeline that allows it’s users to share MORE by making your profile on Twitter more meaningful. With the incorporation of this new header image option on Twitter’s web-based and iPhone, iPad, and Android UIs, users now have a new method to personalize their Twitter accounts, outside of adding a background image and a user avatar. Upload an header image on mobile apps for iPad, iPhone and Android or, and the same image will appear whenever anyone views your profile on the web or these apps. It’s easy to do and I will share with you on this blog post how to make a statement on your Twitter account.

How To Make a Header Image

The image you create must be 1200×600 and saved in .jpg format.  You might want to consider putting text to share more about your website or your passion you share on Twitter.  I’ve created a template to help you create your personal image.

I’ve created a template that you can download and edit on photoshop : Twitter_Template_Image. PSD
